Chemistry is the branch of science that deals with study of matter, its
composition, physical and chemical properties and applications. It is
important for diploma engineers to have knowledge of chemistry as those
may face problems in fields as diverse as design and development of new
materials, quality control and environmental engineering that are basically
chemistry oriented in nature. Chemistry is the backbone in designing and
understanding the nature of various engineering materials. Many advances in
engineering and technology either produce a chemical demand. The subject
covers atomic structure, chemical reaction, ionic equilibrium, organic and
vocational chemistry to understanding and application. The emphasis will be
more on teaching practical aspect rather than theory.
After undergoing the subject,
student will be able to:
Describe accounting concept
Describe transaction analysis
Describe accounting entry system.
Explain the accounts of debit and credit
Interpret the journal entry system.
Evalute the balance of ledger.
Describe the cash book analysis.
Evaluate of trial balance
Expain the financial statement
Describe income tax assesment.
Foundation engineering is a branch of geotechnical engineering which applies soil mechanics, structural engineering, and project serviceability requirements for design and construction of foundations for onshore, offshore, and in-land structures. Foundation engineering can be realized as an “artistic” approach rather than a routine procedure because well-designed and constructed foundations continue to perform efficiently during the lifetime of a project. The major task and goal of a foundation engineer is to create a technically sound, construction-feasible, and economical (avoiding costly and overdesign) design of the foundation system to support the superstructure.
this is a basic course of construction. Basically, it is very much helpful for designing,
Diploma in Engineering Level students are required to acquire the knowledge
and skill on concept of nature of electricity, electrical house wiring, Earthing
and Electrical wiring tests. By the completion of this course student will be
able to perform different types of joints and splices, Fittings of electrical
installation works such as lamp circuit, Tube light circuit and Calling bell
circuit. As such the knowledge of basic electricity the pre-requisite for these
fields for effective discharge of their duties. These necessities the
introduction of Electrical Engineering subject in the curriculum of Diploma in
Engineering level. The subject covers only such topics which will enable the
diploma engineers to identify and classify the different types of Hand tools
used in electrical house wiring, Different types of switches, Lamps, Electrical
Fittings and fixtures Conductor, Insulator, Semiconductor, Wires and cables,
Joint and splices. They will be able to verify and apply Ohms law, Joules law,
Series and Parallel circuit. Have been given more emphasis on practical aspect
rather than theory in teaching learning approach.
than theory in teaching learning approach.
This is an introductory course on Electronics. Basic electronic devices and their operations are introduced to the students.
Diploma in Engineering Level students are required to acquire the knowledge and skill
on concept of RLC parallel circuit, power calculation on AC circuit, resonance in series
and parallel circuit, bandwidth and Q-factor in series resonance and parallel resonance,
poly phase power system, phase sequence poly phase power system, star connected
power system, delta connected power system, unbalanced power system, non
sinusoidal waves, power factor of non-sinusoidal waves. As such the knowledge of
Electrical circuit-2 the pre-requisite for these fields for effective discharge of their
duties. These necessities of electrical engineering subjects in the curriculum of Diploma
in engineering. After completion of this course student will be able to measure the
power of single phase parallel circuit, different types of ac power measurement, series
resonance, parallel resonance, phase sequence of poly phase system, verify relation
between line voltage and phase voltage as well as line current and phase current in star
and delta system. Student also able to measure 3 phase power and neutral current in
balance and unbalance load. Have been given more emphasis on practical aspect rather
than theory in teaching learning approach.
Diploma in Engineering Level students are required to acquire the knowledge and skill on
concept of the operation of telecommunication jobs involving use of Radio frequency signals,
AM & FM methods of communication, radio equipment and media, features of Television
System, Television camera tube, LCD, LED, Plasma picture tube, CCTV and Digital Satellite TV.
By the completion of this course student will be able to perform video recording, video
conferencing, demonstrate the operation of AM Transmitter, FM Transmitter and AM Receiver
and Network. Automation systems, remote control basics and television connectivity with 4 IR
also included as a prescribed field.
The students should have requisite knowledge regarding characteristics, uses and availability
of various electrical and electronic circuit material and skills introducing tests to determine
suitability at equipment for various communication purposes. In addition, specifications, rules
and regulations of various materials should also be authorized by BTRC for effective quality
control.
